Systems Therapy

Systems therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals resolve their problems in the context of the larger systems they reside in where many issues are likely to begin. These systems are often their family unit but can also include work, school, community and other groups that are important to an individual. I work with clients to help them identify these sytems, to better understand how they interact within these groups, and how their individual actions affect each other and the system as a whole. An important premise of systems therapy is that an individual can improve their overall well-being by recognising these systems and changing their dynamic within them.
